Overview
Globetech partnered with an Australian steel process line OEM—one they have collaborated with globally for over a decade—to design, manufacture, and supply complete electrical automation systems for both a continuous steel galvanising line and a colour coating (paint) line at the same site.
Scope
The project scope covered the entire electrical system, including 400V distribution, MCCs, variable speed drive panels, PLC cubicles, operator stations, and remote I/O boxes. Globetech was responsible for detailed design, Siemens equipment procurement, panel manufacture supervision, and the development of drive, PLC, and HMI software. The automation system controlled strip transport operations— managing line sequencing, speed, and tension—while also powering cleaning and coating equipment, and controlling fans and pumps.
