Overview

Globetech Construction was engaged by McMahon Services to manufacture, and construct the 3000-tonne storage capacity expansion project.

Scope

Globetech Construction was responsible for the manufacture and installation of a Form 3b outdoor switchboard, complete with a custom outer enclosure to provide the additional IP rating required for the application.

Project Challenges

The project presented several challenges, primarily due to limited available space for the installation of the switchboard. This was further complicated by the absence of a dedicated switch room, requiring the development of a fully outdoor configuration.

How We Managed This

To address these challenges, Globetech Construction manufactured and installed a custom outer panel enclosure that met the required IP rating as specified in the client’s design brief.

Value Adding

Drawing on extensive in-house experience and a strong supply chain, Globetech Construction developed a tailored solution that met the client’s technical and operational requirements. Close collaboration with the client enabled structural modifications to accommodate a suitably sized landing platform for the new enclosure and switchboard installation.

Zero Harm

The project safety record was excellent with no LTI or MTI’s recorded.
