Overview
Globetech and Globetech Construction were engaged by JPG to design, manufacture, and commission the total electrical system for the Kimbriki Resource Recovery Facility in Terrey Hills.
Scope
Working in collaboration with JPG Engineering, Globetech and Globetech Construction were responsible for defining and delivering the electrical infrastructure required to supply the new treatment facility. This included the design of the electrical and control systems, design and manufacture of control panels, installation of associated cable infrastructure, and final commissioning.
Project Challenges
The project presented several challenges, including the need to determine functionality requirements for multiple operational scenarios. In addition, installation activities were complicated by exposure to variable weather conditions.
How We Managed This
The functionality requirements were developed and finalised through a series of client engagement workshops. To overcome the challenges posed by weather exposure, Globetech and Globetech Construction coordinated closely with JPG Engineering to schedule key supply items and establish alternative work fronts, ensuring construction could continue during inclement conditions without delay.
Value Adding
Globetech and Globetech Construction leveraged their in-house design, manufacturing, and construction capabilities to deliver the project in its entirety under one roof—providing a single, streamlined interface for the client. The project was delivered on time and successfully placed into service following the commissioning phase.
